Aiken Tech ADN Fall 2017 hopefuls?

Nursing Students School Programs

Published

Anyone here applying in May for the Fall 2017 ADN program or LPN program with Aiken Tech?

I sure hope July gets here soon and we get great news! Best of luck to you too :)

Have you already taken classes at Aiken Tech or are you a transfer?

I've only taken classes at Aiken Tech. After this semester I will only have one more pysch to take before graduation, I will probably take it next summer after my first nursing semester (if I get in). What about you?

I am a transfer. I am from Augusta, so I have been to Georgia Military College and Augusta University.

Have you already taken both A&P courses, math 110, psych 201, and English 101? What about Micro and a fine arts? I am currently taking my fine arts/elective, Music Appreciation (easiest class ever) and then will just have my second pysch and will be all done.

I have taken all of those classes. I am 21 so I have gotten all of the core classes out of the way. I've just been waiting to apply to a program!

That is awesome. I am 38 and finally able to do this. I have always wanted to be a nurse and feel so blessed that my children and family have been so supportive of me. I am definitely nervous about the program and really hope to succeed.

That's great! I know this is exciting for you! I've taken clinical classes in high school and even volunteered at Doctors Hospital ER when I was younger. Do you know if they are going to call, email, or mail us with the news? I have heard different things from friends and other threads.

I am a CNA, PCA, and Phlebotomist already and have worked at ARMC and taken care of a stroke victim for eight years; I had hoped to have finished this back in 2010 but my oldest daughter got sick and life happened, but now we are all back on track, so once again I get to chase my dream. Aiken Tech will mail out a large manila envelope with the acceptance/rejection letter along with orientation information and a list of things that will need to be completed by a certain deadline. If you applied for both programs they sometimes call to ask which you would prefer but typically you just receive the envelope. In the past, the letters went out by the end of the 3rd week of June and people received them between June 28th - July 5th. I am super excited but also petrified.

Ill be biting my finger nails until then! I'm just putting it all in God's hands now!

Lots of prayers and positive energy!

I hope other people join this forum! I want to see if everyone else is as nervous as we are!
