AHPRA wont fill out CGFNS form

Published

To all my Australian RN who gained CGFNS Visa screen certificate!

I called Ahprah and requested to fill out the related Form and send it along with my registration certificate to CGFNS. Ahprah stated they will not fill out any forms for international bodies. I am told that they have communicated this with CGFNS and their CEO acknowledged their request. I then emailed CGFNS to confirm this but they insisting the Form needs to be filled out by Ahprah!!!!!

I've been kicked forward and backward between these two organizations. This is the 2nd time I am paying for Ahprah for this registeration and it dosent seem Im getting anywhere....

Any please tell me if you had the same issue and how did you solve it??

Your help is mych appreciated.

Hi,

I am currently going this process but the NNAS. Who have partnered with CGFNS. I got this reply from CGFNS this morning.

AHPRA have sent their own form (cert of good standing).

Hello and thank you for using NNAS!

You are correct and we are aware of these modalities with the Australian Nursing Authorities.

Therefore we do accept that you comply with their own way for the verification of your registration.

AHPRA will only send the certificate of your registration in a sealed envelope directly to our office.

You may proceed as they instructed you even as they do not wish to fill the NNAS verification form.

We hope this information was clear and helpful.

Thank you. Best Regards.

NNAS Support team.

I hope this is some help.

Hi,

I was in the same situation a few months back.

AHPRA told me that they would send their own form directly to CGFNS when I applied for a certificate of good standing.

I accepted it because there was no other option, and CGFNS approved what they received.

My status was changed to 'Meets all program requirements' about a couple of weeks after CGFNS confirmed the receipt.

Hi everyone. I am also planned to work in the states. May I know how did you guys fulfill the OB/GYN and peds requirement? I saw some people had a placement in the ED and some states approved as long as there is labor/peds experience involved. I am having my ED placement soon and will be graduating by the end of this year. Also, how many years of experience do you guys have? I heard most hospitals want to hire nurses with 2+ years experience. Does it mean I should start my application after I work for a year? Please let me know ?
