I am not so sure if this topic has been covered before or if it got buried in the long list of messages. Anyway, this topic is for those of us who is in the first phase of lodging an application to AHPRA. Apparently, as of 04-FEB-2015 from AHPRA website and the updated 11-AUG-2015 AGOS 40, all new applicants need to apply for International criminal history checks (ICHC) before lodging in an application from their approved vendor which is fit2work.com.au.

That being said, I was confused on how to apply for one as I have lived in 2 different countries over the past 10 years. I called fit2work.com.au directly as to how to fill this out and it seems that you have to pay them in accordance to the number of countries you've stayed in and have resided for more than 6 months. Which means I have to pay 2 separate amounts. One from my home country and the other on where I am currently residing. The exact amount is $149 + GST (per application) and can be paid via credit card or paypal.

The result will be forwarded directly to AHPRA and we shall receive a copy of it via email. Please do make comments if I miss something or if I have done something wrong which you think might be more appropriate and reasonable.
