Agency Vs Direct Hiring

Hi Suzanne!

Thought I'd ask you here to help others like me. May I have your comments/suggestions/opinions regarding using an agency vs direct hiring?

I heard some comments that it is better to have an agency because all the paperworks will be done by them.

Some also say that if you are a direct hire, the hospital better have its own legal division to handle the paperworks that needs to be done, that's why many hospitals get agencies to recruit for them to handle all the paperworks.

Also, what are the pros and cons of having an agency?

How do you find hospitals that hire directly?

I still prefer direct hire, if you can initially pay for your exams and immigration fees. Then you get to chose exactly where you wish to work. I did answer your pm...............if not, then agency is the only way to go.

Fortunately I can initially pay for the exam and immigration fees. But my problem is finding a hospital that hires directly.

How do you find hospitals that do direct hiring? Do I look at a list of hospital association in the state that I would like to work in and look at each hospital's site one by one to see if they hire directly?

Your biggest issue right now is time. If you do not get approval soon, you could be waiting another couple of years. This why I made the suggestion that I did to you in the pm that I responded to.

Check out some of the current threads here on the retorgression. Time right now needs to be paid close attention to.:wink2:
