I am brand new to Tucson, got in last saturday and started a travel assignment at St. Josephs ER this week. My hubby won't be able to get here for about 6 weeks and we plan to stay thru the winter. I want to work as much as possible until he gets here, then we can play some. Does anyone have any suggesstions what agencies to try or any hospitals that have good per diem rates? I am off the next 2 days so would like to get something lined up. Thanks.

Had a chance to look up the numbers for you.

Health Temp located on Campbell, just south of Price.

Mary Jo is the office manager for the Tucson branch.

They are wonderful, have worked for them all of the time that I lived in Phx in the old days, right since the beginning of the agency.

Weekly pay and daily pay is available and they cover the whole state.

Tell her that I sent you.

Thanks Suzanne. I have not had a chance to get with any of the agencies yet, but I am off for the next 5 days and will be applying to several. I hate to have to jump thru a bunch of hoops and paperwork again, but it seems like there is no avoiding it. Can you recommend any hospitals to avoid? I will be working ER. I had heard to avoid Keno, but it is now part of the Med center and supposed to be better. St. Josephs has just gone to a horrible new computer charting system and it is killing everyone. Maybe I am just stubborn, but I LIKE putting pen to paper to express my thoughts and to document what I am doing. I do not like the hunt and click method of charting.

Personally, I would only sign up with Health Temp. They are on the preferred list of all of the hospitals down here and they can keep you as busy as you want to be. Be aware that you need to do an orientation at almost every hospital down here for a day or two to be able to work agency at their facility.

I am off the next two days, send me your phone number.
