I don't know if this is what you are looking for, but you might consider one on communication, because in order to provide care you first need to communicate. For example to do a head to toe assesment you will communicate differently with a young child and a teenager or an adult from an older adult with cognitive or hearing deficits. (then give the norms of that, if thats what your looking for.)Try communication through the ages with other things to such as inserting IVs or pre-opteaching, pain assessment and the list can go on, if you think this will work for your program. I hope this helps.
Communication is one aspect of "Age Specific Care", but do not fail to consider:
*Growth and development stages
*Adult life stages
*Adult learning principles
*Family Dynamics
*Sensory Deficits
*Cultural Sensitivity
These and many other foci can enter into the nurse's consideration of how to approach a patient/family with careful attention to the "age specific care" needs that present in the situation.
Good luck in planning your programs!
