hi. does anyone here have tried applying in afp medical center for rn residency this is a six months training. i just want to ask if they have physical requirement to those aspiring applicant? what if you are wearing eyeglasses can you still apply? because as what i've read on the other post they prefer those who are not wearing eyeglasses.
thank you in advance to those who will reply.
Hello everyone! Does AFP Medical center still has this RN (no training fee) Residency Program up to now? When is the next batch of training once you qualify all the exams? Will there be a batch of trainees for the last quarter of this year or jan of 2011?
I just recently passed the July 2010 NLE. Updates or any information about the Institution's said program would be of great help for new nurses like me.
Are the basic trainings such as IVT, ECG's and such will be a requirement before you take the exams? And I also want to ask if there's an age requirement for their nurses? I heard military nurses have an age limit.
the padrino system in afp medical center is very high (maybe because its a army hospital). I knew someone who passed all the exams for the RN residency yet she wasn't accepted for the training bec. she doesn't have any relatives or knew someone from inside.. and for those who were lucky to get inside for the training, chances for a staff position will even be more harder. Grr.. I hate the padrino system.

Not true. They give chances to those who got high grades in their exam (90% above, if I'm not mistaken). Same goes with RN-Residents applying for the staff position. They want quality nurses too, you know.
Do they have an age requirement Mam/ Sir?
They don't. But I might be mistaken and they've changed their rules. Try to call the training office for confirmation.
