Is there anyone located in Northwest Indiana that has any information on any nursing programs that do not place you on a waiting list to get into their program.
Any information related to this is greatly appreciated.
Thank you.

I live in Indiana and go to Ivy Tech Community College. I'm in their RN program right now. ITCC is (by far) the most affordable program in the state. If you're able to get Pell grants or O'Bannon grants your tuition and books and will likely be paid for... Loans are always an option, as well. Indiana residents pay $104.55 a credit hour; there are some other fees associated with the nursing program.
I love Ivy Tech - I go to the Lafayette campus, but there are several campuses in the NW region. There is no "wait list." Entrance is merit-based. You complete two semesters (usually) of pre-reqs, which are A&P 1 and 2, English Comp, and Intro to Psychology. Those points are combined with your TEAS V score for your total possible points. Entrance is very competitive, and I know that at my campus no one got into the RN program who had less than a 4.0 in their four pre-req classes. However, there is also an LPN program that is slightly less competitive. The high number of applicants can be discouraging to some, but I think that for the price Ivy Tech really can't be beat. I'm only two weeks into the RN program, but so far I've been very impressed with the quality of education. I enjoyed my pre-reqs, too.
There's a lot more information and discussion about Indiana nursing programs on the Indiana region board.
