Hi there! Is anyone else out there being submitted to the April/May 2012 fully qualified boards?? I say April/May because at first my recruiter told me the board met at the end of April, but last I spoke with him he said first week of May. This is my last time applying as I was non-selected in August. Really hoping for good news but mostly planning for bad news. Just wondering if anyone else is in agony out there!!
I am still waiting to hear either way and I am getting nervous. I have what I believe to be good experience plus prior military.. Not sure what to think at this point... Do u mind sharing your experience and what u think they are looking for? I will tell u that I have had my BSN for 10 yrs, ER for 8, clinical instructor and prior active duty corpsman in the Navy for 5 yrs..
Any encouragement appreciated...
Thanks
Jenks7- are you the #1 alternate for just nursing or for critical care? I just found out that I am the #2 alternate for critical care. At any rate, hopefully we will both be in.
I am ER so whatever that falls under- I would assume critical care, but I never like to assume anything! Lol. I was only told #1 and nobody is in front of me.. Yes let's hope we both get good news soon!!

The way the alternate list was described to me was if you don't get a spot in this COT class, you would simply go in December and count towards the next fiscal years numbers. You would NOT apply to the boards, you would automatically get a spot in the next class, much like a waiting list for any other school. So, really, if you look at it this way, should you not get into the August COT class, you won't have the pleasure of running in Alabama September mugginess, which I hear is just awesome! So, as you can see, there is a silver lining!!
So, once you are in, where are you going to be stationed, or what bases were on your wish list? I'm going to Lackland.

That is basically what I thought/hoped it meant.. And yes December wouldn't be too bad to be running around like in August or September! Lol.
I have not heard about orders yet... My first choice was Travis Ca, then Peterson, Co... I think Lackland was third or fourth on my list.
