AF April/May 2012 FQ Board

Hi there! Is anyone else out there being submitted to the April/May 2012 fully qualified boards?? I say April/May because at first my recruiter told me the board met at the end of April, but last I spoke with him he said first week of May. This is my last time applying as I was non-selected in August. Really hoping for good news but mostly planning for bad news. Just wondering if anyone else is in agony out there!!

So, got an email from my recruiter today. Guess what? Boards are pushed back to May 24th. Yep, the day we were supposed to find out. SO! I was told the earliest anyone would hear anything is mid to late June! :eek: So, in the words of the military:

Hurry up and wait!

Yes, my recruiter just confirmed. Apparently, it doesn't change anything but it's to give recruiters more time to get their "suspense items" in. And give the recruits more time to have a heart attack. Ugh I was just so ready to have this decision over and done with!!

No idea. I think he's annoyed by my constant stressing, haha. He says I need to focus on things I can control. He's still confident I've done what I needed to to get selected, but I'm not. Oh well. Just a few more weeks!!

My recruiter said that something happened to someone on the board, causing the delay. I'm so busy right now it's not bothering me too much.

I'm fairly certain, if I'm remembering correctly, that it only took a little over a week for my recruiter to tell me I wasn't selected in August. And he didn't think it would take much more than a week for a decision to reach us this go around either. I'm just hoping they meet on Thursday as scheduled!! Anyone heard anything about that?

Tried calling my recruiter before work and I missed him, so I'm trying to get a hold of him before the holiday. It only took a week for me to find out in November, so I doubt we will be waiting long. No new rumors, so who knows. I'm renovating a house so that is keeping me pre-occupied. How is everyone else holding up?

PS, I have been seeing some threads on there about COT dates taking almost a year s/p selection. Has anyone else heard this?

I think that may be an NTP problem, but then again I could be wrong. The folks I know who have been selected all went to COT fairly soon after being selected, within a few months. I put I couldn't go until Oct which seems long enough. I'd die if it was a year!

Oh, no kidding. I would probably rip my hair out. Just thought I'd compare rumors to see if you'd heard anything different.
