I am a nursing graduate student from Puerto Rico. Took my test there twice until i passed. I moved to new York in 2011. I finished all the requirements to take the nclex in NYC and failed twice. The fist time, I'll be honest... I didn't know what i was getting in to. the second time i took a review class that, did not feel like it was worth it. feuer nursing review. I even spoke over the phone with the founder Angela feuer, and i just felt like she had no interested in what i was saying..all she wanted to know was what was on the test...ridiculous and very unprofessional. I recently got in contact with the boards, and i'm set to schedule the test again. I don't want to do it until i feel ready. I finish one review book nclex RN, exam cram. I've been doing at least 50 questions a day (i don't feel like its enough). I purchased the Saunders review book, and that's about it. Is there any advise? Maybe i should use the Hurst review i keep on reading about? I'm a great learner, not a test taker. i Know i want it so badly, that i just want to know if i'm in the right track. I dint know many people that stew in the nursing field in nyc. So its difficult fur me to concentrate, there s say much else going on around me. (sorry of i misspell, this is through my phone) thank you so much, advise will be greatly appreciated!

Keep practicing questions and read the rationale, even if you got the question right. The rationales will help you on reading the question and what key words to look for. If you find you are having problems with a subject and answering questions then study up on that subject

just focus on saunders 1 or 2 chapters a day. Make a schedule...and do practice test every single day too! If you can try to at least answer 100 questions..read the rationale and strategies..you're only confusing yourself by getting a lot of references. focus on one.
Thank you all, for your replies. It really gives me hope. i will Definetly focus in taking at least 100 questions a.day. Also fitting a studying schedule will probably help alot. i will start the Saunders review and just do questions for the next three months. i can't wait to retake this test and just pass it. Again thank you, and if anyone has more tips i will greatly appreciate it! Btw is the nclex 3500, just questions? If it is i think i will work on that too
Thank you for the quick reply, i will surely look in to it.

I'm about to graduate from a school in Puerto Rico (UMET) this summer after I take my last class and I've been using Hurst review and the ATI for content. Then for questions I do some in the Kaplan book as well as the Saunders CD. I'm planning to buy the Qbanks from Kaplan but in July. Check out their website they sometimes have free events.
