I am in the process of relocating from Indiana to Phoenix. I have started my AZ endorsement application; and, I am still waiting on my fingerprint results and IN to verify my license. I have never been a traveler, but I am thinking about trying it out to have a job while my husband & I locate a home and until I find a permanent job. I have been an RN for 5 years and I was an LPN for 17 years before becoming an RN. I currently work in a rural emergency department since June 2013. I would like to stay in the emergency department; however, I am willing to work in any department. I have my ACLS, PALS, and I hope to have my CEN prior to relocating. I am an ASN, but I am enrolled in an RN-BSN program with anticipated graduation in late 2016. Thanks in advance for all opinions and advice!

There isn't much if any advantage to finding a travel assignment before going perm. You should be able to squeeze a hospital for 3 to 10 thosand for relocation expenses and perhaps a round trip for the interview if you go perm first.
