Advice

Being a nurse and a mom is not the easiest task in the world,but anything that is worth doing is not easy. I have a lot of help from my parents, who are retired, and my grandmother, who runs the kids to ballet, and other activities when my husband cannot, and my husband helps alot. He gets the children off to school every morning and picks them up on the days that I work. I work dayshift 7am to 7pm 3 day one week and 4 days the next week, alternating. Some of the girls find it easier to work night shift with children in school, they can get them off to school in the morning after they get home, and then sleep6-7 hours until they get home. Then they can cook dinner for them and get them ready for the next day, them go to work that night. But this arrangement only works if you have a spouse at home to be with them at night. GOOD LUCK and it is worth it!

It is not easy but it is possible. I went to both LPN and RN school while my children were young. I have been a nurse for 24 years now. My children are all adults and have nice normal lives (unlike mine--LOL).

One daughter is even a nurse herself.

As I said, it is not easy but the rewards are worth it most of the time.
