Advice Please!!!

Ok about two weeks ago I signed on with an at home health care agency. They said they would call me with a job the first week...I have called them several times to see whats up but they keep saying they dont have anything right now... I went up there to get my ID badge made but their camera batteries were dead, they said come back in tomorrow..I did...And they still didnt have new batteries...They told me to go back the next day...Its kind of far from my house and im thinking what in the world is going on. How hard is it to get some darn batteries....Im starting to think maybe I should look for something else?

Is this how all home health agencies work? I thought there would be a ton of jobs to do...

I'd look for a different one, if they are this inconsiderate/incompetent about these things it is too likely they will be so about other things. This is not how they are all run.

Thank you! Ive already put in a few applications elsewhere.

I do private duty care. In my area, they always lie about the available jobs. For example, they tell me they have plenty of jobs available in my area when I go and sign up with a new agency. After I knock myself out doing all of their required paperwork

I discover the only jobs available are not in my area. If I am willing to drive one way for 1-2 hours then they might have something available. Fortunately, I am working a case in my area now. However, right now my agency has internet want ads for nurses to work in my area. The fact is that there are no other cases in my area right now. That is a fact. However, they continue to advertise for nurses to work in jobs that don't exist in my area.
