US RN to Canada to be LPN?

Hello! I was wondering if there were any US RNs here who have went to Canada and are now working as LPNs, specifically in Alberta. I'm in the US and I'm an RN, but I have an associates degree (and a non-nursing BS degree); so I don't think I"ll be able to become an RN. I want to know if anyone has been through this, what what was the process like, and if there are any LPN positions available in Edmonton, Alberta. Thanks!

I'm an American trained LPN here in Calgary, Alberta. I'm also a Canadian citizen.

First, I'm not sure if you can apply to be an LPN, you can contact CLPNA (that's the Alberta LPN boad of nursing equivilant).

My daughter-in-law is a 2 year US RN, she applied for RN here in Alberta and must undergo SEC. This is a specific skills test to determine her educational equilivancy. You can contact CARNA for more information.

I had no problem finding a job as an LPN here in Calgary and I've seen plenty of jobs posted for LPNs in Edmonton. I"ve no idea how the job market is for RNs.
