I am watching. I am currenlty enrolled at my CC for pre req's and wont' be able to apply to the nursing program until 2012. I don't want to wait so long, but it may be best as I have a toddler and one on the way. I have bills and don't think getting further into debt is the wiser choice for myself at the moment. I just weigh out the pros and cons. I figure either way I will be a nurse in 4-5 years, I can either add 40K+ in debt or just take the time at my CC and end up debt free.
Good luck to you whatever you choose!
I'm starting a community college in august and i applied in May-June. Some CC dont have wait list infact a lot dont. I would say if you have a good gpa take a look around at some other community colleges and consider moving before you spend all that money on a private school. to me its just stupid to spend that much on a nursing program at this level. if you are doing an MSN and specializing fine but to be a reg RN no way. So I would take a look around if you have a good gpa maybe you can even start this January. Then you will finish with no debt. My whole program is 7K

Hi Everyone!
I am in need for suggestions on whether I should attend a private nursing school or get on a wait list at a community college. I live in Los Angeles County, and the normal wait list at most community colleges here is from a year to 3 years. I don't want to waste any more time and would love to finish school ASAP, I would really appreciate it if any of you know of a good, and more economical private nursing schools in LA county. Thank you all very much!
