I am starting a master's in nursing program in a couple of weeks. For my previous job, I pretty much wore ratty T-shirts and jeans because I would get my clothes dirty or ruined. I'm planning on buying a bunch of new clothes for school, and I'm not really sure what people normally wear in grad school. Any advicewould be much appreciated. Please help!! Thanks.

I'm going to guess it's age related. Personally, I'd go for dockers and nice tee-shirts.

If you're talking about classroom time, jeans and tees (though not ratty ones) should be OK.
If you are giving a presentation, business casual would be better. For any kind of clinical time, business casual, no denim.
You might try khakis and nice tee for the first couple of days, just to see what seems to be acceptable on your particular campus.
Unless you have money to burn, consider thrift stores and/or consignment shops. Sometimes you can get really nice things, good brands, new with tags still attached, and so forth, for $3 or $4 apiece.

I attended my first class yesterday, and most of the students were wearing jeans and t-shirts. One of my TAs in undergrad was a FNP student, and she wore dress slacks and a nice blouse to clinic (she came to class straight from clinicals).
