Advice about Generalist Entry Master of Science in Nursing (MSN)

i'm new to this forum, and joined because I'm hazy about nursing programs. Currently I'm a senior in his last semester completing a bachelors in Health science, and I want to enter a nursing program somewhere In the Chicago land area, preferably a BSN. My grades arn't stellar and I'm worried that I wont have a even a chance to get in. If anyone, knows or can recommend a program it would be really helpful.

While researching i came across a program offered at Rush university about GEM program which is a direct entry MSN program, and I'm curious if anyone knows any information about that program and how difficult it is to get in? Also Does anyone have any good suggestions for types of volunteering that would look great on a nursing application?
