Advice on finding a job in NH

Published

I haven't been employed as a nurse for a little over 6 months now. I was at a LTC facility for about 2 years (first job after graduation) and left for personal reasons. I'm looking for a job in the seacoast area, although I am willing to commute to the Manchester area as well. I've been on a few interviews but nothing has come of them. I ideally wouldn't want any weekend or night hours, but I'm willing to consider anything at this point.

Does anyone have any suggestions or recommendations for finding a job in NH? I'm also considering getting a Mass license and trying my luck there.

I haven't worked as a nurse (in school currently) but did work as an LNA for years. I don't think it's going to be easy to find a job that doesn't require every other weekend.

What type of job are you looking for? I'm up in the Lakes Region but I could keep an eye out for you.

If you are looking for a hospital position then you will have weekend obligations if you are FT or PT. You may get away with not having weekend obligations as per diem. I worked at CMC as a new grad and it's pretty much eow. Elliot was the same way when I applied and interviewed there. Concord Hospital also requires their PT and FT staff to work some weekends.

Don't forget in hospital you will also be working holidays.

If you want to say away for weekend shifts then consider some type of community or clinic nursing.
