Hey guys!

I got an email today for an interview with Adventist Health New Grad Program (Central Valley).

I'm from the Bay Area and was wondering if anyone wanted to carpool to the interview together? Let me know. Thanks.

Best,

Have not heard anything.

Not to pry but things up north weren't ideal?

How did the interview go? I just started their Versant program in Bakersfield. Such a great place to work! :-)

I haven't interviewed just yet. My interview is at the end of July. Sounds like you are enjoying working with them! How do you like living in Bakersfield?

And how was the interview process for you?

ehhhh...PM me and I can tell you more about that whole situation. lol

The program officially starts at the end of the month, but I just finished up orientation this past week. It's a great place to work for thus far.

I actually don't mind living in Bakersfield at all. There are some pros and cons, although I think I would love it a lot more if my boyfriend wasn't still in Los Angeles for work - heh. :-/

The cost of living here is amazing compared to what you get paid and there's some fun things to do, restaurants, and most people I've met are so sweet and welcoming. :-)

Oh, and the interview process was pretty straightforward. I went in for an informational interview after pursuing the program for a while.

The interview itself was with three other managers and there were a lot of clinical questions. I think the total time was an hour with a little tour at the end?

They're really looking for good personality fits for the hospital rather than expert clinical skills.

They're a religious affiliated hospital so "Sacred Work" is written everywhere although they aren't judgmental if you aren't part of their faith. (For example, I'm no longer a practicing catholic and was up front about that in the interview, although it's important to them that you help assist patients spiritually.)

Thank you so much ashleyrosesf for replying to my thread! Thank you for all the information too!

Do you know if it's for the Hanford program? My interview is in Hanford and I remember applying for Hanford as well.

Based on the email it seems like the first interview is with the recruiters. I'm kind of nervous! Hahaha.

I'm at San Joaquin Community Hospital. =)
