FNP working in acute care setting in Nevada

  1. Hello,
Does anybody know if an FNP can work in an acute care setting (hospitalist) in Nevada? I am getting an interview soon by a group of hospitalist and I am not sure if this might be a good idea? Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

Check with your state BON. It is becoming increasingly rare for an FNP to work in-pt as this is not where your education/training was provided.

Here is some info about FNPs practicing in the in-pt environment:

In the end, it is YOUR responsibility, not your EMPLOYER to determine if you are practicing out of your scope of practice.
