ADN vs ASN vs AAS

Published

I've looked online for answers and it just further confused me. I was wondering if there is a difference between Associates Degree in Nursing (ADN), Associates of Science in Nursing (ASN), and Associates of Applied Science in nursing (AAS)?

Will all of them lead to me becoming a registered nurse?

Also, I want to eventually get my BSN through a RN-BSN program, will any of these degrees hinder me from getting into a RN-BSN program and getting my BSN (and eventually getting masters)?

All lead to becoming a registered nurse; technically an ADN is describing either an ASN or AAS; both will allow you to enroll and complete an RN-BSN program along with being an RN.

Nope, they're all the same.
