I am 35 now, with 5 and 1/2 years old twin boys, a ADN and a RN licence that I got almost 6 years ago, but no working experience as a nurse (I was pregnant with my twins during the last semester, so less than 4 months after graduation, I became a stay-at-home mom. )
I totally understand that it is very tough to get a nurse job nowadays even with years of nursing work experience. Many employers requires BSN degree which I don't have. The chance of getting a job seems very slim for me. I am wondering anyone can share your thoughts about how I can
get a nursing job in my situation, what I should do to have more chance of getting hired, do I have to get BSN?
Thank you very much.

Take a refresher course and apply to jobs. Wouldn't hurt to enroll in a BSN completion program either, but a sure fire way to never get a nursing job is to never apply.

+1 on the refresher course.
Plus do some volunteering, health fair, homeless clinic, anything...

Heartily agree with the posts above. You're proably going to need a refresher course to get a nursing job ... and depending on the job market where you live and what type of job you are wanting, you'll need to give serious consideration to a BSN at some point.
