I'm a first semester ADN student at College of DuPage in Glen Ellyn, IL. I know I'm only a week in, but this program is a total mess. Lots of errors in syllabi and notes by staff; failure to post class items to BlackBoard when promised; little-to-no direction from staff with regard to assignments or tests, which are routinely administered before the material has been covered in class; and a general lack of organization.
Has anybody else had this experience at COD? I have spoken with several classmates, and we all have the same impression of the program. I worked really hard to get into the program, and I don't mind working my butt off, but this seems kind of nuts. Is this just what nursing school is like?
Any insight would be appreciated.
Thanks!
