Hi all,
An aspiring nurse here!! I'm 22 and recently graduated with a B.A. in Public Relations & Advertising in May of 2020. Unfortunately at the end of my degree and second year into my job in advertising, I realized I actually wanted to do nursing. With this said, I still have to take all of my pre-reqs for nursing and am wondering what everyone thought was a better route to take as a second degree-- pursing an ADN then moving on to a BSN bridge program while working as an RN, or just going to an ABSN program? I've read up on both and fortunately have multiple programs in my area (Buffalo, NY) and a solid GPA from my bachelor's (3.8), but wanted to hear the experiences of others that may have been in this same situation or have done an ABSN or ADN program in the Buffalo, NY area. (Especially since I don't think I am willing to relocate for a program.) I seem to be gravitating towards SUNY Erie Community College for nursing since it is a really good program, but heard it was super competitive, so if anyone has experience with that, I'm all ears! Thanks in advance! ?
