Does anyone have any tips on which hospitals are more likely to hire RNs with an ASSOCIATES DEGREE within a 2 hr drive from ORLANDO. I graduated in May and no luck so far. I take my NCLEX soon (like tomorrow!) and I'm confident that I will pass. I have great references but I can't afford to get another degree yet until I start working plus I'm from NC and I just moved to Orlando in June. I spoke with one of the HR people with FL hospital and he said the key to getting interviewed was great references, and KNOWING SOMEONE:)! Not to mention I have a bachelor of science in exercise physiology so it would only make since for me to get my masters in nursing but that will take time & money! My only experience in the hospital is Clinical and my internship from my 1st degree.
If anyone has any suggestions I would greatly appreciate it!!!

There are a couple of online sources you may try, careerbuilders has a few RN positions listed, also try http://www.theagapecenter.com/Hospitals/Florida.htm it has a list of all the hospitals and medical centers in the state.
I took my NCLEX on Aug 19th got my license on the 24th applied for a job on the 25th and hired today. Try the smaller hospitals and ones that does not have a nursing program.
Good luck to you

I know for a fact that Florida Hospital Orlando is hiring grad nurses with ADNs. Two floors are interviewing that I know for sure; 3 East a PCU multisystem floor and Transplant floor 3North. I would get on it now.
Good luck.
