Hello all!
So, I'm set to start FNP school this year. Any tips and opinions to share to help ensure success in the program.
I know that studying and staying ahead of assignments are critical. Any other things I need to consider besides what I have mentioned.
Thanks!

Just be ready to commit a great deal of time to studying, I recommend recording lectures in more difficult classes like adv patho and pharm to listen to again. Work hard, you'll do fine.

Once you hit clinical and the last year or so you might splurge on one of the review CD sets. I got mine my last semester (I had been debating it a while) and wish I had gotten them sooner as they really drove some big points home. I loved Hollier but have heard good stuff about Barkley also. Fitzgerald can be a bit dull but some swear by her also. Just search the site and you'll find all kinds of opinions (so this is just MY opinion).
They do update the CD sets each year BUT guidelines don't change THAT often. So even if you wind up at graduation with a CD set from the year before I highly doubt you're going to fail because of that. It takes over a year for new guidelines to make it on the exam anyway.
You and a couple of classmates could probably split the cost as well and add the CD's to your mp3 player and share the syllabus/workbook.
