I have an interview for admissions RN position with VNA.

I have almost 6 hears of acute RN experience - med surg, ER, dialysis, hospice, LTC, psych and amb surg.

I am wondering how long does a typical assessment take, is 80$ a good pay per assessment?

I am seriously looking for a change - I need day time hours, I am worn out by ER work and I am interested in obtaning some case management experience.

Any advice would be appreciated.

well if you have no HH experience you will need to learn OASIS in order to do the admissions,,,,admissions typically take an average of 2+ hrs to do and that's when you know the OASIS,,,we are paid $85 for an admission so depending on where in the country you are that is about and average pay......in the beginning it will take you longer to do it, but don't get discouraged,,,it takes a good 6 months to be comfortable with HH.....welcome to the world of HH

$80 is great, in the South I get $50 per admit, with 1 - 1 1/2 hrs for visit and another 1 hr for paperwork, yes, paperwork. We are not using laptops. I would recommend you go with a company that uses laptops or you'll write yourself to death.
