Hello! I just joined and couldn't find any other thread that had anything about admission stats or anything for Georgia Regents (formerly Georgia Health Sciences) and I am so nervous about getting into the BSN program, I applied with my first choice in Athens, and second as Augusta.. I have a 3.7 and got an 86 on the TEAS V and was wondering if anyone knew if that was competitive or what your stats were?!
HELLPPPPPPP
Yay congrats! She said in the webinar that the only reason the acceptance email went out was because of technical issues at the time and so only the group that was decided on at that time got the email. She also said that they are in the process of deciding the last few acceptances. The letter comes from admissions but the email came from the Nursing department. With that being the case, the nursing department is really busy right now so I wouldn't worry to much if you don't get an email immediately. My email came a day after my status changed.
Thank you, you have definitely eased my mind.
I wasn't invited to the webinar today. Only found out about it from this forum. Anybody who did attend what were the topics discussed? Also, have any emails been sent out besides the immunization emails? Did they discuss registration or orientation?[/quote']Basically there isn't really any new information. They said there will be an open house June 21, 1 pm at each campus. Orientation will be mandatory and that will be August 15-16. They said they should have supply, book and uniform information at the open house. They are also working on updating the laptop requirements. Also, they also mentioned not getting the PPD and the BCLS certification till after the end of May so that it will remain active until the next academic year. Other than that, they were pretty vague on everything else. :-/
[JB13]Welcome! Do you mind giving us some info on yourself so that we can better get to know you? What are your stats (if you don't mind sharing). Where have you done your pre-reqs? Has your status changed online?
We are glad to have you and hopefully we can make the remainder of your wait a little more tolerable
Yes, I attend Ga State and at used to attend Augusta State University two years ago. My program GPA is a 3.3. I scored low on my Teas, but retook it this past Saturday so hopefully my scores improved and if I haven't received my decision by that the time I get my scores then I will send those scores in. My status still says ready for review. I'm starting to feel like I may be an alternative but that's even more of a waiting game. This is so stressful!!!!!!
Hey guys! Congratulations to all you on your acceptance! I'm new to this forum and have a bit of an issue. I just received my acceptance letter for the BSN program at the Augusta campus at Georgia regents. I have also been accepted into Clayton State program and have already registered for classes. My first concern is that I'm a new driver ( being at Ga State and riding Marta and other things downtown, I really didn't do much driving. Lol). I know that clinicals for the Augusta campus will be at the surrounding hospitals which are really close, as supposed to Clayton State where they're held at different hospitals held in Atlanta. My other issue is that I have already made arrangements for on campus housing at Clayton State, but due to the clinical sites, I'm reluctant and think it's in my best interest to go the Georgia regents since clinicals are close. Do any of y'all know how the housing is? I thought about moving into University Housing (Augusta State's housing) but don't know far it is away from the health sciences campus.
If any of you have advice, I'd really appreciate it. I just hate feeling indecisive right now. :/
