Hi everyone,
I am looking for any reviews people have on the BSN program at Adelphi, either the PATH program or the regular BSN. I'm strongly considering this school because its close to home. Do you feel like the program has prepared you well for a career in nursing? Also was the workload manageable?
Thank you!
I currently got accepted to Adelphi BSN nursing, but I second guessing my self because of the high tuition, I have a bs degree and won't qualify for fafsa and grants because of my husbands income, how did you manage paying for your college cost, if you don't mind sharing your experience. Is the BSN duable for a mother of two toddlers? Any information will help.
hey girl, im really trying to get into the adelphi nursing program but i took chemistry in a cuny college and did not do well, do you think they would make me retake their chemistry course? and also may i ask what the name and number of the chemistry class they made you took was? (for example "chemistry 101")
I am currently a nursing student at Adelphi! I transfered last year and after this semester I will be a senior in the fall. I graduated from NCC with an AA which really helped because they have a couple of humanity requirements before they let you into the higher level nursing classes(they waved them). Taking pre-reqs before I transfered helped me alot too (I took statistics, A&P1 and chem) but I still had to take a semester's worth of pre-reqs before starting Fundamentals (the first nursing clinical course). Even though I took a chemistry course I was still required to take their chemistry class which was annoying but I didn't mind cause the class directly targeted towards what you need to know in the future as a nurse. "Nursing Chemistry" is what me and my friend's called it. You learn the formula how to calculate medicine doses.I didn't mind the extra semester and actually thought it was helpful as a warm up/training session for what I was getting myself into. Nursing school is a lot of hard work and you obviously know that by now, but if you have good time management skills, you can do it.
As for the program, I enjoy it. The school does a great job preparing their students and theyre very personable. There are a few rotten apple staff members/professors but its easy to avoid them because word gets around lol. As the other girl stated before, ATI is an online program you have to do along with lecture. Its a ***** but i think it really does help prepare you to pass the NCLEX.
Hope this helped! Good luck
