Adelphi, how long does it really take to finish?

I got accepted, have all the prereqs, registered for classes. All I need is the 14 nursing classes. They have preset classes for u to take each semester. It says I should be done 2012 fall r summer if they have clinicals still. The problem I'm having is that a couple months ago I called the manhattan campus(going to GC) and I was told it takes 14 mths,n GC is saying something else, with the preset classes I dont see how even if u take classes in the summer, unless that professionalism clinical only lasts a few weeks, less than a full semester. I'm going to call them again to see what their schedule is like students because I really want to finish sooner.

Oh I see, I dont kno why they stopped doing the 15mth program because ppl without a bachelors could have entered. I guess they want ppl to stay longer for more money.Yea 15mths is long for an ABSN, if I had a a bachelors degree I would only consider that. Good luck thouh, I hope u get in to that sch or any other ABSN.

THANKS! Worth checking out at the very least. Funny, Adelphi always seemed to have a reputation of milking students out of $$ to some extent, even when I was there. In a way, they are still doing it with me: my official transcripts are $10 a pop  ... perhaps I am just loco in the cabeza to be considering AU again, LOL! I remember when I was @ AU they had a president from hell we nicknamed Dimo and he destroyed the reputation of the school and misallocated funds from scholarships to do landscaping!! Can you believe that? Our education was spiraling down the toilet yet we had the most beautiful campus on Long Island - yeah, that would look great on my resume, LMAO! But thankfully he's long gone and the school has rebounded incredibly. No longer do I have to answer the question "Where is Adelphi?" that often by replying "Have you heard of Hofstra? It's about 15 minutes to the west of that." :p

NYU ABSN is also 15 months long, and expen$ive ... coincidence? Stony Brook is 12 months, it's one of my choices for sure. I was waitlisted this past year but the class already filled up. I am reapplying. But let's see what AU says.
