Acute Care/Primary Care NP

Can anyone guide me to where I can find specific state rules for certification of NPs?

I graduated from a primary care program, but I am interviewing for an acute care position and I wanted to be sure that my state allows primary care certified NPs to work in an acute care setting.

Thanks :)

You need to check with your state BON, b-girl.

I've looked all over their website and can't find anything. When I call to speak with a representative (twice) they always reply that they don't know.

I had read an article a while ago (I can't remember where) that broke it down. I was curious if anyone had a link to a similar article that discusses how the whole role of NPs in primary and acute care is changing and state-to-state specifics :)
