What do you do as an acute care np? what is your salary? I work in a cardiovascular ICU and 90 percent of my coworkers are doing CRNA. I want a job that is exciting and rewarding. I work for cardiothoracic surgeons in heart/lung transplant and mechanical circulatory support in a large university hospital. I round on patients postop in the CTICU and on the floor, admit and discharge, write daily orders and progress notes, see consults. Love it. Salary has to be looked at in the context of the geographic area. CRNA sounds challenging but I don't love the OR so it wasn't really a choice for me. Glad I chose ACNP.
