On Wednesday, March 19, 2014, the Senate Professional Licensure Committee is scheduled to vote on Senate Bill 959. This bill amends the Professional Nursing Law to:

- define certified registered nurse anesthetist

- outline the qualifications required to become a certified registered nurse anesthetist

- allow certified registered nurse anesthetists to use the title and abbreviation CRNA

Many groups will oppose this legislation. Nurses must be heard.
