This may be a stupid question, but I am new to this and some of these ICU's I have a hard time deciphering. Is there a thread out there that spells out all of the acronyms such as CVICU, MICU, SICU, CABG, IABP...etc? I understand that there may be too many to list, but I just want some of the most often used ones.
CVICU= cardiovascular ICU, SICU=surgical ICU, MICU=medical ICU, CABG= coronary artery bypass graft, IABP=intra-aortic baloon pump. Hope this helps.
