I am a newbie. I live in southwest mi. as i am reading these, i don't know where 1/2 of these colleges are. LCC, MCC, OCC etc.
I will be starting the program in jan 08 at KVCC (kalamazoo valley cc). Is there anyone out there going to valley?
Where are these other colleges?
Thx,

OCC= Oakland Community College - various locations in Oakland County, north of Detroit
MCC= Mott Community College - Flint
WCCC- Wayne County Community College - various locations in Wayne County; the nursing classes are held either at the downtown location or the Belleville campus. Science classes can be taken at the downriver campus in Taylor, and probably most of the other campuses.
HFCC - Henry Ford Community College, Dearborn - all nursing and science classes held at the main campus. There is a smaller campus in Dearborn Heights, just a few miles up the road; no science or nursing classes here. The accelerated classes hold their classes at both the Dbn campus and Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit.

MCC can also mean - Macomb Community College
Yes! It certainly can. Monroe Comm College is about 40 miles or so south of Detroit. It should be noted the college's Nursing program has an excellent reputation.

Since I attend Mott, I always think of that when I see MCC, but I know it can mean a few other schools, too!
So many MCC's! I will have to keep that in mind while reading the threads. Since I go to Macomb I always assume MCC means Macomb, I never thought of Mott or Monroe. Thanks for the info!
