Anyone take the ACHPN exam? If so, how was it? How long did you study for? Was there one area represented more than others?
Thanks for your kindness Lorraine. Could you please share your tips and guide with me @ [email protected]. ?
Appreciate your help

Thank you to all know added to this thread. I found it helpful when I was studying. I just took the exam today and passed. It was very difficult (as others said). I wasn't sure of the majority of my answers as well. Here is what I did to study..I hope it might be helpful to others:
1. I am a in-patient Palliative Care NP and have been practicing in this specialty for 3 years. I started as a new grad NP. So I have only been an NP for three years as well. I work full time but have taken maternity leave twice.
2. I studied for 2 weeks. After work, on weekends and when my kids were taking naps. Def should have studied longer. I think 1-2 months is would have made me feel more confident.
3. I bought the HPNA Online Certification Review. Made a study guide of this.
4. I bought HPNA Practice Questions (50 Questions).
5. I bought StatPearls NP Palliative Care Certification Review questions (495 Questions).
6. I did all Fast Facts Palliaitive Care Questions (approx 150 Questions).
7. I reviewed some CAPC modules.
I think what I would have done differently is study for longer. I think studying for at least a month would have helped me feel more confident. I personally wouldn't have felt ready taking the test earlier in my career. Also not sure if buying the Core Curriculum book would have been helpful? I thought it was too pricey to buy the review course and book. So I chose the Review Course. Hope this helps someone!
