Nursing Students School Programs

Hello all just looking for clarification as to why some colleges or universities BSN programs are accredited by ACEN and some by CCNE?

Specializes in NICU, ICU, PICU, Academia.

ACEN = associate degrees

CCNE = Bachelor's and higher degrees.

There is also a CNEA accreditation from NLN but I do not know a heck of a lot about it

That's what I thought but a few of the schools I was looking at have ACEN accreditation with bachelors degrees so I'm confused

I'm no expert on this (it's v. confusing), but I do know that the ACEN accredits higher level nursing programs as well, all the way up to doctorate. I don't know how long that's been the case; for years, it was easy to keep track: The NLN/ACEN accredited LPN, diploma, associate's, and BSN programs but no graduate programs, and the CCNE accredited BSN programs and graduate programs. Now, not so much.

I am also curious about the relationship and differences between the ACEN and CNEA. Both are accrediting agencies that are subsidiaries of the NLN? Huh?
