I was hoping to hear from someone who got accepted, I got my acceptance letter yesterday.. how about you?

Yes I am I don't have other alternatives for this year at least, I was hoping to hear from Umass Boston but they are giving me hard time about my application, so I guess they won't reviewed it I was going to apply to Massachusetts college of pharmacy (Worcester) but I figured out there is no need to since I got into Simmons, the costs are same anyway, but at least Simmons is in Boston and heard good things about it. I just need to call them tomorrow to make sure I got accepted for summer entry and not fall.

Simmons was the first school I applied to, I was going to apply to other schools but I decided against it. Simmons is a good school. We may be classmates!

Hey! I just got accepted to the 18 month accelerated nursing program at Simmons! So excited!

I was also accepted to Brockton Hospital School of Nursing. Still waiting to hear from UMass Boston and Curry... Big decisions to make... but I think Simmons is going to be my choice. Congrats to anyone who has gotten in. Would love to chat with others who are accepted! -Tamra

A quik questions for all of you who got accepted, does the letter state you got accepted to fall or summer entry? and did you finish taking the pre requisite before applying? I tried to call the admission this morning but they are still out of office. I am taking 2 courses that I still need at community college, but I guess at Simmons they preasume I will take them with them in the summer and then start the nursing program in the fall. I hope I can clarify this soon and start in the summer.

Mine says Summer entry.. There are two summer sessions- Summer I which I beleive starts in May and Summer II which starts in July(which is the start of the real nursing classes). I think during the Summer I you can finish any pre-reqs you needed... The only one I have not completed was organic chemistry. I tried to call the nursing office as well this morning and got the message machine.

Thanks Tamra! the thing is that I am taking the courses right now at Quincy College and I should be done by May. so my plan was that I will be ready to start the program in July, so I am not sure why they put me at the fall entry.. I really need to talk to someone, so did you send in your security deposit yet?

I'm waiting to get some financial aid questions anwsered tomorrow and if all looks good then tomorrow I am going to send in my deposit online. Sounds like you are in the 2 year program if your starting in the fall. I would def. call the nursing department and find out. Good luck! :nurse:

My letter say May but I'm taking my last prerequisite (growth and dev) at Quincy coll. I thought it would be July. Jennat which prerequisite are you taking at Quincy college?

That's correct the program will starts in July.

This is what my letter says:" you are accepted as a degree candidate begining May 2011" but later they say: "be aware that your nursing sequence begins in fall 2011" so it is really confusing, can't wait till tomorrow to speak with someone for clarification:( I am taking General Psychology at Quincy College but it's online, and organic chemistry at Roxbury CC.
