accepted into becker college!

U.S.A. Massachusetts

Hi everyone!

So I've been accepted into Becker college in worcester mass for this fall 2015. Wondering if anyone has been thru their rn adn program, their concerns, likes, dislikes, and how they worked with you. I heard their nclex pass rate is phenomenal!! 98-100% pass rate. Also if anyone who graduated has been able to find a job yet after???

Thanks!!

Hey! I didn't go to Becker, but I did take an A&P course there because my Uni didn't have it. I just wanted to tell you that Becker is no longer an accredited nursing institution. When applying to nursing schools the one thing everyone told me is to make sure that they are accredited. During my time at uni they were about to lose their accreditation. Accreditation is important because apparently it can hold you back in your nursing career. Not exactly sure why, I just looked for schools that have CCNE/AACN accreditation during my application process.

Good luck!

The Becker College nursing programs (ASN and BSN) are fully accredited by ACEN. This program has never been in danger of losing nursing accreditation or approval from the Massachusetts Board of Registration in Nursing. In fact the nursing program has a very high NCLEX-RN pass rate at at time when other nursing programs have experienced a decline in their pass rates. A nursing program can be accredited by CCNE/AACN or ACEN. Because Becker has an ASN program, and has been around for over 30 years it is ACEN (formerly NLNAC formerly NLN) accredited. ASN programs are not able to be CCNE/AACN accredited, this does not make them an inferior or inadequate program. I am not sure where you received your information but I can tell you it is 100% untrue.

I apologize! That is what I heard when I was at my uni and just wanted to pass on information. Didn't mean to upset you, if I did. Good luck!

Hi

I am currently attending the ADN program at becker and will be entering my third semester this fall. Feel free to message me with any questions you may have. Congrats and welcome.

Hi Hibbzem17, I am interested in applying for the ASN program at Becker College. May you let me know how intense it is and your experience with professors and clinical instructors, what scheduling looks like and if you can work while doing the program as well, and if you think the cost of the program is worth it? The answers to these questions and anything else you feel you'd like to share will be helpful thank you.
