You could ask them and they'd probably have an idea. I got into my program as 10th alternate. There were about 60 spaces in the program, total. Anyone who fails their background check, fails their drug test, can't pay, moves out of the area or simply changes their mind creates a vacancy. Your odds depend on where you rank and how many seats are available to start out with.
Good luck! It can be stressful going through all the motions without knowing if you'll actually have a seat, but it worked out in my case.

I recently received a "selected as an alternate" letter from the Ivy tech Columbus campus. I'm excited just to be an alternate and I'm excited to go to orientation, but I'm super nervous. Does anyone know the likelihood of actually getting in after being an alternate?
