I've been wondering the same thing. I am currently getting ready to pass my cna state exam, taking the pre-reqs at BCC & looking to transfer to UMASSD for the same program.

The acceptance rate is very high for ASN transfers looking to get their BSN since the don't require clinical space. If you're just a regular transfer, the rate is very low. There were 5 of us at the transfer orientation last week for the Fall semester. Four sophomores and one "freshman" (myself) out of over 400 applicants. From what I've heard though, the acceptance is MUCH higher for non-transfer freshmen.

I don't know what the acceptance rate is exactly, I would recommend you call the nursing office or admissions for that information. I do know that it is highly competitive, and that your best chance of getting in is as a freshman non-transfer.
because im applying there as a freshman so i was wondering where i stand...
aznbaby, my friend got her denied letter maybe a month ago ( I am not sure). Don't u get your accept/denied letter? I didn't apply at Umass because I wanna do 2 yrs and then do RN-BSN at Umass. I wish you the best of luck!!
btw say for example you were to apply to umd nursing program but got denied, can u still attend umd for a different program? how does that work? or when your denied they don't want you at all? sorry it might sound like a stupid question
let say you applied for nursing but got denied from the program, can you say for example try going into biology or something for pre med, how does that work? do you have to go through the whole process of applying again
doesnt majors like bio, chem and stuff go after you get accepted into the school?
I don't know for sure, but I'm pretty sure you can. U should call to the admissions office. Good luck!
