Has anyone heard when acceptance letters will be mailed out??
If you hear anything, please let everyone know!!
I'm a UNG graduate (just graduated this month) and all mail from Dahlonega got to me in Suwanee in just one day. My fingers are crossed for you all! I was waitlisted the year that I applied and I got in at the end of May. I know how nerve wracking it can be to not know if you'll get in or not. I'm now feverishly studying for the NCLEX.
Yes the waiting has been really hard! Its been 3 1/2 months since the first letters went out.
I was waitlisted last year and got my letter on the infamous May 15th. I feel for you all, and cannot understand what the hold up is! I've got my fingers crossed for all of you! It's a crazy, but great program to be in. I'll be checking back later today!!!!!! Let's have some news!! :0) Oh, and I got so disgusted waiting that I changed my major to horticulture and registered for classes at Chattahoochee Tech. I even took a job as team leader for a major landscaping company in Atlanta and Ball Ground, haha! I was so ticked that the nursing department was so secretive and dragging their feet, lol! I even got to a point that I said to myself that I wouldn't go if I got accepted...until I got the letter and said, "uhhhh, okay!" I'm just saying, I feel for you all!

Frustration is definitely in the air!! But hopefully we will all get in! How was your first year?
NikkiT09: It was great for the most part, haha! It is extremely fast paced, sooo much reading as there are only lectures with power points once a week...which give you an overview of the chapters, not really the details you are tested on. The tests come from the chapters in the Fundamentals book. There are pop quizzes (3 - one of which is dropped) over the lab for the day, so just be sure to read the chapter for that lab in advance. If all is the same this coming year, first semester you will have nutrition completely online, and Monday lecture at 10:00am until around 12:00. You will either have lab on Wednesday or Friday from 8-12 or 12-4. If you have morning lab, you will have clinical at 6:30am until 12:30 or 1:00pm, and if you have 12-4 lab, you will have the afternoon clinical from 12:30-6:30...I think...I was in morning both semesters, so I really don't know what time afternoon left. There were only three clinicals at the end of the first semester. Forsyth campus went to Northeast Georgia in Gainesville. Second semester was Pharmocology on Mondays at 8-10 and Fundamentals from 10-12. We had the same lab/clinical schedule. Pharm is tough! There were only a handful of A's...only two that I know of! The final is open notes/book...thank the Lord! There is ATI testing on Nutrition (10% of your grade) and Pharm (5% of your grade..because it is a nightmare!) Fundamentals ATI as at the end of the year (10% or your grade for second semester.) The med-math test is self taught with the book. You have to get a 90, but you get two chances. This is the first week back after Winter break. You have 5 med-math problems on each test in fundamentals. I have a fear of numbers, but I made a 95 on the test. Algebra was my only B ever until Pharm! I could go on and on! If y'all have any more questions, feel free to ask! Fingers crossed for you guys!!!!
