I received my acceptance letter to North Shore Community College yesterday, which was my one and only choice! Words truly can't describe how I am feeling right now. The anticipation was unbelievably nerve-wracking. I literally almost crashed on my way home, when I noticed the GIANT envelope hanging from my mailbox. I stopped the car immediately and ran to my house. I ripped open the envelope and as soon as I saw "Congraulations" I felt invincible. But I took deep breath and realized that this was only the beginging of a demanding, rewarding, and fulfilling journey.
I can't wait for classes to start this upcoming Fall. At the same time I am nervous and don't know what to expect. The fact that I have no healthcare experience whatsoever makes me cringe. I don't think being a male will affect my educational experience. But my school is predominantly females. That being said I am ready to dedicate myself to be the best possible student nurse I can !!!
