I'm a new grad who has been on the job hunt for a few months (not a long time I know). I recently found a company that is very interested in me, but its in LTC/Rehab - not my top choice. I know it would definitely give me bedside experience, but I have also heard that its hard to transition from LTC to acute units in the hospital which is where I would like to end up.
I've sent out probably 10-15 applications to large hospitals in the area (over the past few weeks) and have yet to hear back. I'm nervous about 1) accepting a job that isn't ideal only to hear back a week later from my dream job that they want an interview and 2) that I'm leading on this LTC facility and I'm going to feel awful if I back out at the last minute. I wouldn't mind working in LTC as I've worked there for several years as a tech, but I guess I still have that lingering hope of getting my dream job right out of school?
Take the job. Those who sit around waiting for their "dream job" will wait a long time. You don't have to stay in LTC forever and it teaches you valuable skills.

What would you do in my position?
