Another program for you to consider:
My 15 month program:

If you've ever considered embarking on an exciting new career as a nurse, the Master of Nursing program at the College of Mount St. Joseph can help you reach this goal in as little as 15 months, including clinical experience. The Mount offers a full-time master of nursing program (MN) for individuals with bachelor's degrees in disciplines other than nursing who are interested in pursuing a nursing career.
If you are willing to relocate, this is an excellent accelerated MN program.

It was just a certificate program when my friend went through it, but she has nothing but outstanding things to say about it. I don't think they've changed much now that it is an MN program.
I have talked to the advisor of the program a couple of times, and they take people from all over! What you would need to check is in their website that shows which states have "State Board of Approvals". Here is the link:

I checked, and yes, Maryland has an agreement! I haven't talked to anyone actually going through the program now unfortunately, but from what the advisor tells me, "Get ready to give up your life for a year." But I think it is worth it!
Hello out there! I have been reading all of these great posts, and love how helpful everyone is and thought I would voice my question...so here it is. I have a BS in Biology and for the last year or so came to the decision that I wanted to go back to school for nursing. I want to use the fact that I have a degree to my advantage so I have been looking into accelerated programs and am going to apply to the accelerated online nursing program at the University of Wisconsin Oshkosh. I am very self disciplined and don't think I will have a problem with the intense pace, but would like to hear from any current students of this program. Also, would love to hear from any graduates and how they felt going into the workforce after such a program. Thanks to everyone and good luck to those waiting to hear acceptance info!
I too have a BS in Biology and have finally figured out that nursing is my calling. I just started my pre-reqs at the local university for the accelerated program. I've also heard the acc program is very intense and I wish you the best!:)
