I start at the university of Saint marys in June. It is right across the Kansas/ Missouri boarder in Leavenworth ks. I had a 3.2 for my first degree (graduated in under 3 years) but I did have 5 years Heathcare experience. I know they require micro, stats, and a&p 1,2. But it's worth a shot and they have great nclex plans rates
Thimba, Truman is a difficult school, not to say other schools aren't. They just focus a lot on setting their students up for graduate school, which is a good and bad thing. If you're looking into nursing you should apply to Goldfarb in STL. I know that as long as you meet the minimum requirements they admit you as long as you apply at least 12 months in advance for the term you want. You may be waitlisted for your top start date, but you'll definitely get in.
Dnr7616, I believe only 40 are in my program this summer. I'm pretty sure that is the limit for the accelerated option. I also applied to Goldfarb about a year ago and got accepted, but the cost was higher and UMSL was able to provide scholarships to offset the cost quite a bit. Plus the program is much shorter! Good luck!!

Hi everyone,
I'm new to this site and just had some questions for anyone that has done an accelerated program in Missouri. I recently graduated from Truman State University in fall 2015 and am in the process of applying to accelerated nursing programs in Missouri. So far I'm planning on applying to UMSL and Mizzou. I'm nervous that I won't get into a program because my GPA is only 3.38, but I still have to take statistics, microbiology, and physiology. I plan on taking statistics and physiology this summer, so I can hopefully raise my GPA to 3.40.
Has anyone with a similar GPA been accepted into either of these programs? Are there any other programs I should look into? I want to apply to at least 3. I've looked at Goldfarb and SIUE as well.
I would appreciate any help/comments!
