any information on what to expect in an accelerated asn program would be greatly appreciated i.e. is the pace manageable
clinical rotations
were you prepared at conclusion
any time for family obligations
will not be working during this time just want to have an idea of what to expect and not be overwhelmed

Are you typing accelerated BSN or ADN?
They both exist....then within the aBSN spectrum there are also aBSN's for students with a prior non-nursing bachelors....
the pace manageable - with planning
clinical rotations - busy as with all programs
were you prepared at conclusion - have heard yes
any time for family obligations - yes
will not be working during this time just want to have an idea of what to expect and not be overwhelmed - expect to not work and be overwhelmed...
I'm planning on attending an aBSN program for 2nd degree students very soon... pm me if you want for any specific questions or ideas.

I am in an 18 month ADN program and it can be pretty intense at times. Just started the 4th semester last week and had 20+ chapters to read, 100 NCLEX questions, and 2 papers due this week:banghead:. It sounds halfway manageable until you add in 3 days of clinical with care plans:madface:. I am glad I went this route HOWEVER there are those times when you want to pull your hair out. In fact I should be reading another chapter in Therapeutic Communications instead of typing this. I am lucky in that I do not have to work. Others in my class work and have kids and I don't see how they do it.
Look at what is going on in your life before you go into an accelerated program.
