Absolutely Drowning...

I am absolutely drowning in anatomy...I have midterms on Saturday and I waited WAY TOO LONG to start studying. I feel like I'm drowning here. It doesn't help that my professors seem to think this is medical school, with their quizzes and tests...I'm not kidding there, either, I showed one to one of the doctor's I've been shadowing, and she said it was comparable, if not worse than her med school anatomy exams...There is a curve, but I've GOT to get an A in this class to get into the BSN program, and I'm kicking myself that I've waited so long...

Why is it so hard to study something I've already studied? Blech.

I think a lot of schools' A&P courses are like that, unfortunately. If it helps at all, it does pay off to know all that stuff. Eventually it starts to all come together and makes sense why it was so in depth. I'm jealous that you have the curve to your advantage - none of my professors were that nice.

Good luck with studying. Do you have a study group or study buddy? They really help.

I am so grateful that my anatomy and microbiology classes do/did not have midterms at all, it's just learn something and move on! Good luck with your test, I find that If I take a blank sheet of paper and start draining my brain it helps me figure out the stuff I need to focus on more.

Here is the deal with Anatomy...it's a tough class. You have to study EVERY day to stay on top of the material...none of it is difficult, you can find enough supplemental research online to help you understand anything the book muddles up.

However, the exams are detailed, and difficult, and when i took it, everything else in my life stopped.

Once you accept that, and embrace it, you'll do ok.
