I am interested in starting an Accelerated BSN program. However, i have been searching everywhere regarding attrition on these programs since they are very fast paced.
Anyone know the attrition or drop out rate for Xavier University ABSN program or any school that does an Accelerated Nursing program?
Anything would be helpful

I went through a 15 month ABSN program and I don't recall anybody dropping out of the previous ABSN cohorts. My cohort had two classmates that failed a class and had to continue with the Traditional class. They were allowed to finish with the next ABSN cohort during the Summer instead of finishing with the Traditional class in the Fall.
My cohort had a closed Facebook group that we used to vent, post study group locations, reminders of assignments being due, and words of encouragement. After our last final, I posted a picture of a marathon runner crawling across the finish line and asked if anyone else felt this way, it was unanimous. ABSN programs are so fasted paced that the finish line approaches quickly. Most people have the mindset that "It's only XX months, I can put up with anything for XX months".

I am not familiar with Xavier, but graduated from a different ABSN. In my cohort we had one person (out of 55) leave after the first term - transitioning into the traditional program for family reasons. We lost a second person last term of the program due to severe accident/injury - she had to take 6 weeks off to recover from the accident and emergency surgery. Faculty was very willing to work with her though - she was put on leave without penalty for the rest of the term and ultimately graduated one term behind the rest of us after making up the clinical hours she missed. Everyone else stayed through and graduated on time.
My faculty made it very clear to us that they did their "weeding out" on the front end - once you were in you were in, and generally everyone graduated and passed NCLEX with out issue - and if you did have issues along the way - it was strongly encouraged to bring this to faculty ASAP so they could work with you and come up with a game-plan for getting you through.

My ABSN program is similar to the above mentioned, except we had a few students who joined with the intention to drop down to traditional. Once you are accepted to a nursing program, the schools want to keep you. They like to do all of the weeding out before you get accepted. That being said, they don’t hesitate to make someone retake a course or not graduate on time if that student isn’t prepared to pass NCLEX. Though that usually isn’t a problem for ABSN students.
Thank you for all the replies. This information has been truly helpful. I am honestly excited about the program! I am aware that many people talk about how difficult it can be. however, it take a LOT for me to quit and completing my Undergrad while working FT(12 rotating ), i think i can complete the 16 months without working.
Again, thank you all for the replies.
